Mark you calendars for this years Wolves hockey team banquet on Saturday, March 10th at 6:00 PM. This year's banquet will be held at the Worthington Hills Country Club. The Club is located at 920 Clubview Blvd. South, Columbus OH 43235. (614)-885-9516

Over the January 27th weekend the Wolves put together a great team effort. With one loss and two wins over the weekend the score sheets show that 16 different players recorded at least one point over the weekend. This is a great sign of playing as a team and playing unselfishly. Congratulations to all the Wolves and the coaches on a great set of weekend games.

Special recognition goes out to senior goalie, Joe Fischer, for a milestone you do not see everyday. During the game on 1/22 Joe had a shutout going through a period and a half before giving up the goalie responsibilities to Freshman Jacob Eymann. Joe disappeared to the locker room, came back out in standard gear & played winger for half a period and scoring a goal! How's that for versatility!

Kilbourne hockey again hosted the early season tournament Dec. 2rd - 4th at Chiller North. Participating teams included Worthington Kilbourne, Thomas Worthington, DeSales, Olentangy Orange, Beavercreek, Troy, Gahanna & the Olentangy Braves. Our Wolves played well though the weekend and faced Olentangy Orange in the Championship on Sunday afternoon. This game was hard fought from both benches and congratulations to Olentangy on their 2 to 1 victory.

Back by popular demand, the WKHS hockey team took to the woods at Splatter park and participated in a fun filled day of paintball. Team Dilley & team Roman squared off in the many different fields of play available at the park. We believe team Roman took the overall win for the day with more head to head wins. However, controversy arose with the realization that Team Roman was stacked with those players bringing their personal, higher quality, weapons to the playing field. The fort Buckeye field found the Freshman & parents paired against the upper classmen and the Frosh & parents ruled! Tactics proved superior to the aggression of the older team members. :-)

This year's campaign will be led by two outstanding young men Junior Patrick Roman, Captain, and Senior Perry Dilley, Assistant Captain.

Senior goalie Joe Fischer, returning 3 year letterman, will again take his place in goal for the 2011/ 2012 campaign.

With tryouts behind them, the members of this years team have been selected. Parents & players were present at the meet the team meeting held on 11/6. This year's team includes three seniors, seven juniors, five sophomores and five freshman. At the meeting, coach Erlenbusch addressed the players & parents covering many topics from 2011 conference configurations, eligibility, expectations and medical guidelines for the upcoming season. Wolves president, Paul Roman covered team business news and job requirements for both the Kilbourne tournament as well as board positions.

We welcome the new members of this year's Hockey wolves. They include Sophomore DJ Freer and freshman Micheal Roman, Ryan Agner, Wesley Hickman, Jacob Eymann & Kevin Schultz.
