2013 Thomas Worthington Martin Luther King Weekend Tournament Red Bracket Champions!!
Congratulations to the Wolves for a great weekend of hockey. Four straight wins Friday through Sunday carried the team through the tournament bracket to a championship trophy in the Red Backet division. The championship game was a hard fought contest with the Mentor Cardinals. Mentor stormed out to a 2 to 0 lead in the first period with a very fast pace of play. Our Wolves came back and won the second period but still trailed the Cardinals by a score of 3 to 2. A very hard fought 3rd period ended in a 3 to 3 tie with the Wolves pulling their goalie and scoring with just 5 seconds left in regulation to tie the game. One minute into OT Ryan Wagner found the the twine to give the Wolves the victory and the Championshiop trophy. What a great weekend of hocky by all the boys, congratulations Wolves!
2013 Splatter Park Team Building
This year's Splatter Park outing was Sunday, Nov 11. We had a beautiful weather day and the boys had a great time working the open play fields with those spending the afternoon at the park. No team on team play but the boys were a team of their own and quickly adapted to the open play and the more experienced paintballers out on the course. Capture the flag was expecially exciting as both new comer Tanner Taylor and parent, Hank Walters were both succefull in bringing the flag home. Eating contest winner goes to Austin Taylor for his six hot dogs at lunch. A great day and a good time were had by all.

Wolves Team Building at Splatter Park 11/20/11
Back by popular demand, the WKHS hockey team took to the woods at Splatter park and participated in a fun filled day of paintball. Team Dilley & team Roman squared off in the many different fields of play available at the park. We believe team Roman took the overall win for the day with more head to head wins. However, controversy arose with the realization that Team Roman was stacked with those players bringing their personal, higher quality, weapons to the playing field. The fort Buckeye field found the Freshman & parents paired against the upper classmen and the Frosh & parents ruled! Tactics proved superior to the aggression of the older team members. :-)
